- NEW COURSE FOR 2026 !! : Helping US Take Care of US

This 2-part presentation entitled "Helping US take Care of US", is a continuation of the FOCUS group session established by this investigator in 2020. This Health and Wellness group initially made of Montgomery County Police Officers and civilian employees to address social/racial injustices as they relate to police officers, also works to better educate, equip, understand, and implement social change among ourselves, our families, and the communities we serve.

Stress to Strength - (Identifying the issues that the LE/CW and CAC community face and how to address them). Course addresses all allied groups to include CPS, Forensic Interviewers, DJS, Court and Juv Justice, HHS, victim assistance, and prosecutors.

- Peace Officer - (designed to look beyond the work of Police Officers and focus on the individual wearing the badge). This segment also focuses on the vicarious trauma faced by this group to include alcoholism, PTSD, and suicide among others

- COVID KIDS - (takes an in-depth at the changes, challenges, and obstacles those we serve had to face during the COVID-19 Pandemic. This also focuses on how we as Child Care professionals have had to adapt to this new environment. This course concludes by highlighting this unique collaborative model designed to develop, and address our “solvable issues”, with the goal equipping us to take care of us.


Initial Response to Missing Children

2 Hour session

Features our Award-Winning presentation: 

From Missing to Murdered- A Runaway Case Study.  

This presentation will focus on Missing/Runaway Juveniles and the investigation of these cases from the initial report to closure. The case study will focus on the missing case of a runaway juvenile murdered by MS-13 and the Investigation into this case by multiple jurisdictions.

2 Hour session

Catered to Law Enforcement, L/E partners, Child Protection Services, Child Advocacy, Victim Assistance counselors, and allied and contributing agencies invested in Juvenile High-Risk Victims. This course will highlight the response and responsibility of the Police as the primary Investigator. Investigative strategies, tools, and tips will be presented, as well as legal definitions and policies, and the use of social media. 

1/2 day session

A Continuation of the 2hr session that expands the initial response , incorporating the CART model including CPS, CAC and social services as contributing agencies. This also highlights the importance of these entities working together using case studies and table top activities.

Full day session

A Continuation of the 1/2 day session that expands the initial response, incorporating the CART model including CPS, CAC and social services as contributing agencies. This case introduces investigative measures used to address COVID-Kids and the growing trends by juveniles affected since COVID-19. 


A Child Sex Trafficking Case Study - Welcome to Atlanta

This presentation will take a closer look at the investigation of Human Trafficking from the initial report to closure. This factual-based course review is unique in that it will highlight trends and concepts used by Traffickers and associates to recruit, groom, and transport multiple juveniles from Maryland to Atlanta Georgia.

90 min session

The course will highlight Patrol response and responsibility and the role of the primary Investigator. Investigative tools/tips will be presented to include Law Enforcement resources, legal/law definitions and policies, and the use of social media. 

1/2 day session

Participants will be introduced to the High-Risk Victims model, and the 3-pronged HRV cycle of victimization, Missing, Groomed, Trafficked. Session will include factual case studies, group activity, and forensic interviews.

FULL day session

A Continuation of the 2hr session that expands the initial response , incorporating the CART model including CPS, CAC and social services as contributing agencies. This also highlights the importance of these entities working together using case studies and table top activities.
